All data I've seen has Greenville County as the worst in SC. It's had more fatalities every year than any other county in the state. And SC ranks as one of the states with the worst drivers in the nation. Not sure where they get this from. I love Greenville, but the drivers are awful and selfish in the way that they drive.
This is the current fatality link for SC. The 2 with the most currently? Greenville is number 1 in the state and Charleston is number 2. Doesn't add up.
@UpstateJohn, my personal experience of driving downtown has been positive, most drivers slow down...
@furmanpals, the news article link was included in my original post, do you need a pair of large glasses? LoL
I very seldom go downtown, but when I do its not too bad but there are still idiot drivers. The biggest issue(s) fro me, most recently, is entitled drivers. Lady cussed me out Friday night because I "stole her parking place" at Wild Wings , and she was behind me. Being cut off multiple times, idiots blocking intersections, and I wont even go into the number of motorcycles who expect me to give up my spot on the road for them so they can get to the Harley shop. One SOB literally turned his bike sideways so his budies could change lanes, not once ut twice! 85 and 385 arent much better includingas far down as my exit in Gray Court. Bunch of idiots. I avoid Greenvile as much as I can.
I was in Greenville recently, and I was quite surprised at how fast a lot of the people drive on the interstates. I'm talking a good 90 to 100 mph, no fooling. Not just one or two, either, but quite a few of them. I like Greenville, but I absolutely do not like the drivers on the interstates there.

Not only that is the wannabe "future meat crayons" on two wheels.
Lots of red light runners. We have never seen anything like it. We have lived here almost ten years.
We have been rear ended twice within a 2 year period of time. First time car was totaled.
