Actually, my friend didn't live with her daughter, but went over there everyday to take the kids to school. She would frequently have to bathe and dress them and cook for them so would get there early. I believe the Valium was in her purse and that's how the daughter had access. When she went for her pills and saw them gone, she cussed out her daughter who told her she would replace them.
Her boyfriend is apparently a drug dealer and knew who to go to, so I'd imagine he plays a part in the death, if anything is ever done. I just learned this, that apparently these people who make the pills, form and stamp them to look identical to the real thing.
Yesterday I was at a family get-together, and after a few drinks were had one of the other women in the friends group started raising her voice about the fact the daughter didn't even show up to the funeral, and why isn't she in jail, that kind of thing. People were nodding but nobody else was speaking. Finally she said, "Am I alone here in feeling this way?" and I spoke up and said, "Nope!"
Still don't know what will happen but apparently the daughter is missing right now.
I got rid of a hospice company because the nurse seemed obsessed with getting him prescribed with Fentanyl. He already had pain pills, didn't want Fentanyl, yet she persisted. The last time she came, I tried to tell her he was very sick, she wouldn't listen. That's when I decided she must be an addict. When I fired the agency, I told them to do drug tests on her. Never did find out if they did.
If the daughter is only 19 how old are her children? It's so sad that they will have to deal with an addict mom.
