True, but I remember the negative vibe being present long before 2010. Now this forum seems more mellowed out, myself included. I say this as someone who probably isn't going to be in a rush to move back to Hampton Roads, but who can fill others in on the moves of Hampton and York County.

People say those things but the reality is that wherever they moved to, it either isn't better, or they're not doing that much better than they were when they were here. As expensive as it is here costs are lower than they are in other metros and we don't have the same social issues that plagues other metros, so I take it all in context. I've lived in cheaper metros that are better in some aspects, but a lot worse in others. It is all relative.

I don't lose any sleep over former residents with their inferiority complexes. Plus those other C-D forums it is easy to be invisible in, so they come back here to troll to make themselves feel important. Other forums you need to be talking about something other than just b_ about stuff and being negative, if you want to get any reputation points.
