I woke up one morning and my left eye was red and puffy and hurt like hell. I went to the emergency room cause it was the weekend and they told me I had pink eye and sent me home I began to develop a white cloud in my eye meaning everything was hazy looking like I was looming through a white cloudy fog. I have since went completely blind in my left eye and my right eye is beginning to see the white cloud. an eye specialist said it was called UVEITIS and there's not alot that's known about it except that it's like arthritis in the eye and that it may come and go but because of the misdiagnosis by the ER and the 3 weeks that have passed it was doubtful they could save my left eye but needed to focus on the right eye and do damage control on the left and hope for a miracle. Anyone have any insight on my condition.

Sorry to hear of your condition. I also have an eye condition, it is not uveitis, but still causes blindness (20/400),,, not a happy place to be at times. If you haven't checked it out already, here is a website on uveitis.
The exact same thing has happened to me and the original poster described it to a T. Its my left eye and usually I'd been sleeping on my left side; I also notice it when before going to sleep, I reach down to put my Ipad on the rug and then get up to go to the bathroom. I thought it might be blood flow towards the left due to putting the Ipad on the floor while I'm still lying on my left side. It clears in less than a minute when I reach light.
Today was odd though, I felt slightly dizzy when I got up this morning for about a minute. Weird...

Blinking with both eyes can clear that up. I sometimes have that when I wake up in the wee hours for a bathroom run. That can come from sleeping hard I would think. Could be dry eyes, I use Similasn for dry eyes.
I woke up one morning and I had dim vision in both eyes. Its been two and a half years like that. I went to two ophthalmologists and one neuro-ophthalmologist and nothing out of the ordinary was found. It is really bad because it affects my daily life so much. It is like a dark curtain is pulled over my eyes keeping me from seeing actual light levels. I am going to see a neurologist for help. I can't believe something like this has happened to me. I'm only in my early thirties and already experiencing eye issues. I have searched endlessly for a diagnosis online and I only find optic neuropathy as a possibility. If anyone has any suggestions i'm desperate for help.

I think a neurologist is an excellent idea. If they haven't done a scan of your brain I would think that would be in order. Hope you find an answer.
Omg! I have the same exact problem, this just accrued last night for me. I usually sleep on my stomach or right side and I woke up during the night and I could feel my eye open but it was pitch darkness in my right eye. My left eye was perfectly fine I could see out of it but for some reason my right eye was full of darkness. I soon then went back to sleep and woke up and my eye was perfectly fine.
I am a 15 year old trans man and this started happening to me in my right eye this january. I am also a stomach sleeper and have been to an ophthalmologist and two retina specialist. I just went to my second one today and he recommended getting something to wear over your eye that way you are not laying on it while stomach sleeping as he thinks it may be a vascular problem. Mine last about 30 minutes and is every morning
