How much of your home's square footage have you filled with holiday decorations OP? On second thought, maybe I don't want to know. I can only imagine what fills up the spaces on your calendars. Stuff of nightmares?

In our area nobody sells Mardi Gras decorations or decorates for Mardi Gras. It's a niche holiday to decorate for and will stick out like a sore thumb. I wonder what will be our HOA policy on decorating for atypical holidays.

Oh well, I am taking Mardi Gras everywhere I go! As far as I know, a king cake from Mardi Gras in New Orleans (or Gretna) will deliver just about anywhere in the US.

Hey, I'm a Saints fan too. Oh well, hate me. LOL

It was a nightmare in Philly.

For every conceivable holiday they decorated, for Valentine's Day (starting in mid-January) rowhouse windows would be cluttered with the dollar store's "finest" decorations including red foil hearts, red glitter, red confetti, Cupid cutouts, plastic red roses...you name it.

I put out a Valentine's Day yard flag up to a week before and take it down the day after - that's about all the decorating I do for Valentine's Day.

I'm with Kathryn - I already have my Mardi Gras stuff outside.

I have smart bulbs in our outdoor sconces, and I have made them pink and red for Valentine's Day.

Two of my neighbors put up flags for every conceivable holiday: Valentines Day, Easter, St., Patrick's Day, etc., but AFAIK that's about all of the decorating in the neighborhood except for Halloween and Christmas.

I never used to, but lately I've hung a decoration on my front door for nearly every holiday. It's fun to have frequently changed decor.

They're mostly flat, so don't take much space to store. I'm crafty, so make or alter them.

Feb 1st for Valentine's Day.
Maybe sometime around mid Feb or March first for either St. Pat or Easter, or maybe just something springlike.
Summer, or maybe patriotic for a few months, followed by Day of the Dead, Fall, then Winter Hollydaze on December first.
I have a hummingbird up right now, since this is where they come in the winter.

There's a ton of folks that decorate in my neighborhood. I have a yard flag for all occasions and wreaths for every season (spring, summer, fall, winter).
