Currently we have a pest control service come to the house every 60 days. But trying to save a few dollars, wondering out there who does their own pest control with the stuff bought at the big box stores? Is it effective? Just curious ..... And if you do your own, what do you use?
Thoughts and opinions for/against welcome!!!!

Generally for the novice DIY'er I would recommend Bayer Pest Control for homeowners. It comes in RTU and takes care of most common bugs. They make it for indoor or outdoor usage. I use it about every 4-6 weeks dirung the warm/hot months. Home Pest Control Indoor & Outdoor Insect Killer | Bayer Advanced
Controlling pest yourself is not an easy as it looks, you can use pesticides or easily available things at home like vinegar for ant control, boric acid for cockroach extermination and pest control service provider fro bed bugs extermination.
