One thing to look for when grill-shopping is to verify that the correct spare parts are available before you buy.

I once got a big-box grill and discovered some time later that there was no way to get correct replacement parts from the factory, dealer, nor internet. All that they offered was those flimsy adjustable grids, and no other parts such as burner elements could be had other than ordering generic replacements and hoping for a good fit.

Weber is probably one of the best in that respect.

My feeling is that the more expensive ones are no better than the cheap ones. Even though we hardly use ours and keep it covered when not in use, the starter always stops working and they deteriorate over time. So why not get a cheaper one?

Ive never invested in a Weber, so maybe they hold up better.
