Well that other pizza thread was getting older.

FCEddie and I were going on about pizza on an unrelated thread.

I have heard and read lots of good stuff about Tortoras and Joes

I recently tried Venice and really enjoyed it, the guys running it were really nice as well.

I looking to try Famous Joe's next and then who knows, I ate mostly crap like Dominos and Pizza Hut up until they changed their recipes. I am hoping to be become more knowledgable about the local pizza here in town.

Just going to post the link from the original Pizza thread. Most of my reputation comes from this thread, and rescuing dogs

Tommyy's. Nice thin crust, good topping selection without forcing oddball toppings on you, and huge pies.

I miss Bellacino's, it was a different style pizza than the NY Style, it reminded me more of the pizza I get up in Buffalo. A thicker crust, lots of sauce, lots of toppings, but not approaching the cheese cassarole they call pizza in Chicago.

Pane e Vino makes a really good thin crust style pizza. The service can be poor though. I really like the toppings at Sam and Greg's but the crust is so so. I've got to try Venice pizza, place sounds like the real deal.

When I heard the name I was hoping for a Cracker Barrel style place. Really for Italian food Carrabba's has always been my place, I use to eat at other places, but I got so ingrained. Also constant let down elsewhere. If it's still open in a year I'll go.

Big Ed's is still my favorite. But I have recently jumped on the Sam and Greg's bandwagon too. I also recommend cruising over to Village Pizza on the square in Athens. Anxious to see how Pie in the Sky turns out too.
