Yeah, it's easy to eat almost an entire dozen when they're fresh and warm.

Only if you love coconut. Seems all their donuts have coconut something on them. I'm not a fan.

Maybe you aren't getting there early enough.

Doesn't matter when you show up. The K-May in Meridianville just north of Bob Wade EVERYTHING is bathed in some kind of coconut. It's in the glaze.

I've often wondered why Krispy Kreme only has one location. I'll bet they could sell out with a dozen different places around the area. I'm kinda glad they don't though ... it would be too tempting. You can buy them in the grocery store, but it's not the same as a dozen straight from the store.

Other than a midnight visit to Bear Bryant's grave with someone driving that I didn't know, the more memorable introduction I had to the south was a visit to the KK at Eastwood in B'ham at some hour between 2 AM and 4 AM, and being introduced to KK donuts and chickory coffee by a young lass. Of the two, guess which I remember more fondly?

Did Sbarro close? I swear it was dark when we drove by today and I thought I saw a for lease sign. Not the most shocking thing...

I thought the same thing late last week; however, I did see several cars in front of it on Saturday (I think it was Saturday). I figured it had to be for Sbarro and not the nail salon.
