Several population estimates with a data date of July 2020 will be released this coming Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

I'll guess Madison County will be 379,850 (2019 was 372,909).
I'll guess Limestone County will be 101,250 (2019 was 98,915).
I'll guess Morgan County will be 121,500 (2019 was 119,679).

Any other guesses?

City and town estimates will be released May 27.

Solid guesses,
Think I might go with Madison, 380,700; Limestone, 103,100; Morgan, 120,200.

Looks like the numbers have been released, but they're really hard to read (at least on my Mac they are - maybe OK on a PC). https://www2.census.gov/programs-sur...20-alldata.csv

They appear to be just metro areas, so not all state counties are included. But best I can decipher, here are those in this area:

Madison County 379,453
Limestone County 102,228
Morgan 123,416

Both my and AU's guesses were pretty close.

And consider those numbers are higher now at least 6 months later.

Yes. Also consider that the latest state estimates, released I think in December 2020, were about 100,000 short for the entire state. So local numbers could be higher when the real results are released this fall, or could be lower. Based on voting turnout last November, compared to the rest of the state, I'd say they are higher than 380,000. We'll just have to wait and see. Supposedly New York state estimates were something like 800,000 lower than the census numbers. Hard to believe they could be off that much.

For what it's worth, today's estimates show that Jefferson, Mobile, and Montgomery Counties lost people, and Tuscaloosa and Auburn barely held their own.

I believe I read these right, so forgive me if I am mistaken. The first number 2019 followed by the 2020 numbers

2019 /2020 estimates

Jefferson County 658, 539 / 655,342
Birmingham Metro 1,090,916 / 1,091921

Madison County 372,547 / 379,453
Huntsville Metro 471,683 / 481,681

Mobile County 413,516 / 412,716
Mobile Metro 429,795 / 428,692

Montgomery County 226,074 / 224,639
Montgomery Metro 373, 144 / 372,583

Sure more details will be coming out later this week, but the change in Huntsville's number in one year is impressive. 10,000 new people.

You'd think they would have formatted the numbers to be readable. It's pretty much a jumble of numbers when I open the file, made decipherable only by knowing what our area's numbers were and going from there. Maybe they did format it somewhere else, or as I mentioned, they might be readable on a PC instead of a Mac.

Yea I feel like a lot of area got under counted over the past 10 years, Baldwin County and Huntsville metro I believe will be pretty close to what's already estimated as I feel both areas were well counted (of course I could be wrong), will be interesting to see how the numbers look

Nope very hard to read on PC, had to move over the columns to see what they said, luckily it was in Alphabetical order as well

Microsoft Excel helps with sorting and filtering. It even coverts to an image to post here.
