It's going to take more than cutting off the jobs. It will take cutting off the benefits and birthright citizenship also. They can come here with no intention of working but give birth on our soil and reap the welfare benefits through them.

Actually, the flow has picked up of late with Obama promising amnesty again.

Yes and also how are they going to find the visa-overstayers? A whole lot of illegals actually entered legally or at least with a border crossing card. On the streets of Mexican border towns, they openly sell laser border crossing cards with a picture, the vendors even help the soon-to-be illegals buying these cards by helping them find a picture they resemble and suggesting they shave or comb their hair a different way to more closely resemble it.

The illegals cross right through the legal ports of entry, fingerprints are almost never checked, and told to head to a place once they made it through where the cards are then collected from them --- to be used over and over.

Once safely inside the USA, it's extremely easy for the illegal to head north, west or east -- to any destination he wishes. Yes there are the inside border checkpoints but all they do there is ask you if you're a citizen and you can just say yes. They're not allowed to demand to see documentation if you say you're a citizen.

Now they might possibly ask a couple questions to see if you really might not be a citizen, but they aren't very tough questions. I've been stopped and questioned by border agents 3 different times and never once had to show citizenship papers, not even a drivers license.

Some questioned the costs and benefits of up to $50 billion in the extra border security, which also will include high-tech surveillance equipment such as manned and unmanned aerial vehicles, radar and seismic devices.
It will not matter if we have 500,000 border guards if Obama and Holder refuse to enforce our laws with the new and improved "judicial preference" granted by the courts, so they can ignore our laws for political gain.

Our federal government has proven it cannot be trusted to respect and enforce the laws it passes, so what will passing news laws get us if their are no teeth in the law?

All valid points. Let's face facts. Our president has 2 known relatives who violated our immigration laws. 1 has already gotten a free pass and the other is working on it. The Obama Admin essentially picks and chooses which laws they agree with and disregard the rest. This new law is a porkster of a law and is a bad law.

Check out this chart, the new senate bill waives crimes for illegal immigrants, but would toss actual US citizens, or people who file as legal immigrants in prison for doing the same thing.

Would you provide a link to this chart? Thanks.

Why spend that? Remove the incentive at the source. Implement business-death sanctions for those who don't e-verify. Also refuse any sort of amnesty and end birthright citizenship. Problem solved for $0.

True -- and it's not border agents that are going to catch those using fraudulent border crossing cards to come over.

No one knows how many illegals are coming over but a whole lot of them come right through the legal ports of entry using border crossing cards either legally obtained or black market and they simply stay and never go home.

Nothing at all is being done to make sure people leave on time -- or ever.

You've got that right:

Sessions Report Demolishes Obama 'Deporter In Chief' Myth

“The evidence reveals that the Administration has carried out a dramatic nullification of federal law,” Sessions said in a statement to Breitbart News. “Under the guise of setting ‘priorities’, the Administration has determined that almost anyone in the world who can enter the United States is free to illegally live, work and claim benefits here as long as they are not caught committing a felony or other serious crime.
