I keep cutting but you ain't bleeding...

Immigration simply does not have enough man power in each state to begin rounding up, arresting, detaining, processing large or even moderate numbers of illegal aliens. Indeed going back decades that never was case. Instead INS depended upon local LE to provide some assistance, use of local jails or other lock-ups, etc....

Immigration is allowing illegal aliens, migrants or whatever out into USA already because it lacks sufficient space to hold. Just what do you think is going to change?

Only way to get round this would be to either for federal government to build massive new infrastructure for detaining illegal or whatever (not going to happen) and or contract with private enterprises for same. Latter costs less but still means spending large sums which again simply is not going to happen.

When a local area refuses or otherwise will not cooperate with feds all sorts of issues arise.

In NYC because that city and state don't cooperate illegals largely first were sent to NJ for detention. Then NJ got woke and began saying it didn't want any part of it either; so aliens or whoever have to be moved elsewhere. All that shifting about isn't cheap, easy nor often productive use of immigration manpower.

You kill a disease by stopping it from spreading. If employers knew they'd face more risk of being audited and faced steep fines for knowingly hiring illegals less of it would happen. As things stand now most know they have little to nothing to fear from INS on that score. Illegals have been in USA for two, three or more decades steadly working at same place.

Bus them down to the border and toss them on the other side. The costs of allowing them to remain here is much more expensive then doing so.

It's the Democrats that won't sign a mandated e-verify law and without it there is no proof that an employer knowingly hired them. They also won't secure the border to stop them from getting into our country in the first place where many work for cash and there is no paper trail for that.

Or they could initiate the expulsions in red states pushing further millions in to blue states. The Abbott angle X 10,000.

Blue cities would be crushed.

But that's NOT FAIR to the "red" people who happen to live in "blue" cities. In NY State, for example, most of the large cities are, for reasons unknown, are made up of "blue liberals", yet the remainder of the state is made up of "red conservatives".

If the Stumblebum-in-Chief was serious about Executive Action he would have done it already, instead of putting out a press release saying he's "thinking about it".

Considering it/thinking about it is enough to buy Joe time with his base.

It doesn't require executive action; the president can simply enforce the laws that are on the books.

Or did he overturn them all because Orange Man Bad?

President Biden is considering using his executive powers to beef up asylum standards and turn away migrants seeking to enter the US between ports of entry, according to a report.

The proposals being discussed by the White House include raising the threshold needed for asylum seekers to meet the “credible fear standard” and swiftly deporting those who don’t meet the new criteria, according to Politico.
