People sometimes ask a question once, but when they get answers they don't like, they decide to keep asking using slightly different wording again and again. Believe it or not, seemed like you got reasonable replies the first time OP.

There's that saying about doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results....you know, the one about insanity?

This is just stupid. Huge waste of times. 2.5 months of being strung along, also wasting 5 of my references time.

Perhaps it's time to formally withdraw.

That'll show 'em!

On my way to the interviews now. This is it. If they don’t make up their minds after this screw em.

You *NEVER* wait for one job to get back to you. Keep applying until you get an offer letter. You're literally going crazy over one job while you could be doing something to help yourself from not going insane.

I don't know what you want people to say.

Well I had the interviews and they were all classy enough to not mention other candidates. Really to me that’s kind of like being on a date and your date is talking about other people they’re dating.

I really got no clues of any movement forward. I met with the hiring manager at the end and he said they’d have ‘news’ next week and If this goes through what is my timeline.

I’m going to send thank you Monday morning. I met with 7 people. Guess I have to send 7 thank yous.

The last thing you want to do in any job searching process is become bitter. It shows on interviews.

Were you so naive or inexperienced to think they wouldn't be considering any other candidates but you? Really? Every single potential employer I've interviewed with mentioned "other candidates" during an explanation of their screening/selection/hiring process. Everyone I've ever chatted with about job interviews mentioned something about "other candidates" being considered for the job they hoped to get. You're taking this way off the deep end OP. Forget it. Building a grudge in your head against an entity that might turn out to be your employer isn't a great way to start.
