You can order both through EarthFare if you want. Their turkeys are really good.
Or visit a farm and buy it there:
Farm Fresh Meats (http://picktnproducts.org/food/meats.html - broken link)
Or visit a local farmers' market and order one there.
The Picktn website has lists of markets and just about anything else.
Finding organic anything is easy. The state is very actively trying to help family farmers stay healthy and on the farm by promoting organics and helping them make the transition from tobacco growing to market gardens.

I actually saw a family of wild turkeys running by a loop near my office in Oak Ridge. LOL. I got scared to death because I saw these things moving and making a weird noise, then I laughed when I saw they were turkeys.

Default I have turkeys,

but they're just pets and their primary purpose is to simultaneously make me smile by gobbling and annoy when they go over the fence - but definitely not for roasting.

I don't know what qualifies as an organic turkey, but I can refer you to my "turkey connection" if you request info in a direct message. If you visit there, you will have to kill and dress whichever bird you choose to purchase, or take it to be processed

I like the certified organic turkeys at Earth Fare or just a turkey grown by a local farm, but already processed! I know of a couple of family farms that sell at the local farmer's markets, but I don't think any of them raise poultry to sell.

Laurel Creek didn't do poultry. I am almost positive this is new. The website is updated, too.

Anyway, thank you Beretta. Now I know where I am getting our Thanksgiving turkey.

I can't say enough about these folks. They are the real deal. I met over three years ago and they are a true farm family. I've had their steak and eggs. Fabulous.

I also notice that he'll be delivering in Oak Ridge and Knoxville.

Is this new? We are having the farmer's markets open throughout the winter?

I bought our Thanksgiving turkey last year from Laurel Creek Farm and it was delicious! I buy from them through their store in "The Market" in Maryville.
