Thank you! We're in Summerlin and Verizon isn't available yet...but will ditch Cox the second I can, mostly for stability.

Update on Verizon 5G Home:

After playing around with it for two weeks, I’m convinced it’s stable. I haven’t observed any drops or slowdowns during my normal daily use. Performance has been phenomenal at all times of the day. I’m able to stream five devices simultaneously along with everything else on my network without issue.

Verizon will pay up to $500 in early termination fees if you make the switch. As always, read the fine print.

Bottom line: It’s a keeper. I dumped Cox yesterday.

I'm assuming theres no real issue with number of devices connected?

As well as a few tvs, phones and ipads, I have a lot of cameras, doorbell, irrigation and thermostats etc all connected currently.

I use Cox's Internet Ultimate 500 plan.

Up to 500 Mbps download
Up to 500 Mbps upload
1.25 TB (1,280 GB) data plan

$114/month. Multiple devices connected to it. Only time I had trouble was when my parents visited used the TV a lot. They were streaming movies a lot. Exceeded the data plan a little bit. Other than that, no issues. Never had issues with customer support.

If there is a service provider that matches Cox's service for a cheaper price, I'd love to know it. Verizon offered their home internet service. Was no match to Cox's speed.

I just downgraded from the cox gigablast plan.

Up to 1Gbps download
Up to 100 Mbps actual download

The key is that 'up to' means 'no more than'.

Yep, but like I said, I haven't encountered any issues. Haven't felt the need to upgrade to get more speed or look for a different provider offering more speed at a better price.

Do you really need that speed ?

When my cox works I can watch 3 streams at a time with the $62 deal, 50Mbps. I've ran YouTube 7 TV's at a time.
the data limit they put on last year is on all services now.
