I, like other people, like to have food options we don't typically get, such as a choice between snow crabs, dungeoness, lobster claws, oysters Rockefeller, blue point crab, shrimp, sushi, mussels, etc., all kinds of beef and chicken and pork entries, salads, soups, desserts, etc.

You don't have to cram your face to get a good value of high quality food.

But that's just me, ymmv, Yada Yada.

I agree with and rep you. My hope is that, someday, when someone goes out to Vegas, they can consult this post, and say, where's a good place to eat before or after the show?

In this context, you are wrong.

You are saying the diner is incapable of grabbing a plate and putting some finely prepared food on it, especially as some of these places on the strip.

One time, probably during the newly post Covid Era, we discovered the Bacchanal Buffet was reservations only, because so many actual human beings disagree with you, so we went to Carmines instead. Fine restaurant, and you can rate it with as many stars as you wish.
Hard not to miss it when the obese people sitting next to you are stuffing their faces with two plates of food.

And we can agree to disagree on the quality of food at buffets (and plenty of people agree with me also). That type of food is like an assembly line process and tends to be lower quality than fine dining establishments. Buffets tend to be busy because people like to gorge (It has nothing to do with people agreeing or disagreeing with me on the quality versus a fine dining establishment).

Here's a much more balanced review of Bacchanal (as opposed to some silly Yelp or Google review) that disagrees with much of your description and is closer to the experience I had...

https://top-buffet.com/vegas-caesars...aurant-review/

For the ridiculously high price I’d expect quasi-gourmet quality food which does not require triple-strength digestive enzymes or detoxifying tea to help one’s liver to digest the heavy fats, starches and (we suspect) less-than-good-quality oils. For the ridiculously high price I also expect a truly large variety of dishes for all tastes, which is not the case at all (I was hard pressed to find a single vegetable-based dish, for example).

Buffets are not a fine dining experience.

Buffets are not a fine dining experience.
I seen a bunch of young skinny kids eating plates full of grapes and cantaloupe.

We were at the Bacchanal Buffet, not the Golden Corral.

I think you're projecting, projectiling or some such thing.

Sorry, I wasn't impressed especially not for that much money. I think the article spells it out about right.

Blackeye Pea.

Applebees.

Nope, nor is the review. But for people that like a little lower quality, assembly line type food that's hard on digestion, it's not bad.

Las Vegas is a city where you want to find out where all the locals go to eat.

Just FYI.

Every city is like that or you get sucked into the "these are the best restaurants" reviews that are bogus. I don't trust any reviews I've read online anymore. I've had lousy meals at many of the well rated places in Vegas. I wonder if anyone here really knows what good food tastes like.

Care to share any local restaurants you like?

No it's not.

Ruthless and Toothless Annie is gonna tell me where to go get a chirizo Burrito?

No thanks.

You'd have to be an idiot trying to drive around in Vegas, especially at the time of year we were there.

I don't got any doubts about me. I like good food. Who doesn't?

Santa Fe New Mexico has some pretty decent burritos, for example, the Christmas style...

Had some other fine cuisine in Santa Fe, but suffered a bit because they have a parking meter on every single spot.

But way nicer than sitting in a cab in Las Vegas heat trying to get a block or two every 20 minutes, and that's regardless of whether they try to stay off the strip or not.

We don't go down to Fremont street anymore either because seeing nude homeless entertainers just ain't our thing.

So we stay on the strip between Venetian to about New York New York.

If you can't get a good steak at Gallaghers or at Carmines or at Monami Gabi, that's on you.

But hey, that's just me, ymmv, yada yada.

There are lots of restaurants close to home, many I haven't tried. I'm in 89052, anyone have recommendations?
Have you tried https://www.milanotherestaurant.com/ ? It is in Town Square (215@ Las Vegas Blvd).
