I am considering joining and i'd like to know if anyone is a member or was a member. They have the Zumba classes I was interested in and from the commercials it looks nice. lol I know great reason to join right. lol

I am still on the fence about it because I have a gym at my condo 50 steps from my door and i don't go!! However, I hate to workout alone and I'd much rather go in take a class and leave. If left to my own devices I end up just walking (not running) on the treadmill and stopping in like 30-45 min. I know it's better then nothing but I'm not doing it often enough for it to be effective. At the gym I do the classes and even though I don't want to do it I won't be the one to walk out of a class. lol

What are your views on the club?

I will say this, it must be good because the parking lots are ALWAYS packed. Even my husband says that when he goes in at 3:30 am they are busy! Someone likes them!

Can't help with the motivation thing, I have the same issue!! I joined two clubs in my life and was not real disciplined to make it worth it-financially or physically!!

when i was a member i loved going there, but the parking was impossible at the eastern/215 location, so sometimes i would go and just leave without even working out because i couldn't find a parking spot...it was very affordable though...the Rainbow/Vegas location has loads of parking and is very nice but its a drive, i also like the sahara location too and the maryland location was nice until they got rid of the good 30 min circuit machines, the east flamingo location is very dated, they could remodel it and make it just like the eastern location with some good planning...

Although Anytime Fitness doesn't have any classes, the one at Windmill/Bermuda is very nice, i'm not a member but i took a tour, it is also a little bit more expensive but the benefits are great...

I used to go to the LVAC at the 215 freeway and Eastern, but I switched over to 24 HR fitness because LVAC was too busy. I used to have to go at 10PM in order to go during light volume hours.

Its an awesome gym (that location). New equipment and tons of it, just a little too busy. 24 HR fitness is a little slower, less hectic, and less of a social club.

Hey we just joined about 2 weeks ago. We go to the Northwest location on N. Rainbow and I love it. I can't say enough wonderful things about it. Maybe I'm still in the "honeymoon" phase, but even as busy as it is, it's so big that it doesn't matter. I've never had to wait for any machines or to do anything.

Parking is a bit of an ordeal, but I am there to get exercise, so walking a little further to the door really shouldn't be a big deal right? LOL

Until I had to quit going, both my wife and I were members for many years and we liked it, as it was right for us. Now only my wife goes to yoga and water work out classes, and she really likes the newer one on Rainbow at Vegas Drive. She says they have everything.

I've been a member for 3 years. Most of their locations are busy but some like the 215/Eastern are super busy during peak hours. I only use the track, cardio machines and weight areas so I don't have any experience with the classes. Looks like they have a good variety of classes at most times of the day.

Price is good. I pay $97/year to renew. I also have a membership at Fitness 19 which is only $14/mo. That's a bargain when you consider I paid an average of $40/mo in Ohio, Virginia and Iowa.

I had a years membership tagged on to my husband's membership for a year to LV Athletics Club. I never went!

I go to Zumba class here - Veterans Memorial Leisure Center
101 N Pavilion Center Dr
Las Vegas, NV 89144
(702) 229-1100

Its a real friendly place, and you can pay daily -$4, weekly $6 and monthly $18, I think its reduced for the over 50's.

I love love love LVAC, especially the one on Sahara! Im not big on working out, so I went and got a 2yr membership. I would spend 30 minutes working out, another 30 looking at the hot guys, another 45mins eating sandwich wraps and drinking smoothies, that they serve there....LOL
I have never been to a gym where they served food and drinks! Its great

Now, if I can find a gym that serves shrimp and a decent wine........Im signing up!
