The outside looks problematic also. See the black stuff in picture 34.

This is very true. There was a short period at the beginning of the pandemic (April - June 2020, give or take) where sale prices in some areas dropped from where they would have otherwise been. People who bought during those few months in particular probably got the best deal of their lives.

I bought my house in 2021 and paid through the nose (relatively) for it. I could sell it now for more than I paid, but had I bought this same house early 2020 instead, the equity differential would be enormous.

I wonder what the story is with this one? Buyer's remorse, divorce, job change? Sold for $620K in January of '23 and listed for sale already...now at $679k

It's a single guy who did sign the homestead... maybe a 4k+ mortgage is catching up to him? Also 968 sqft suggests it's a 2fam or something.

Like a raised ranch, the bottom floor doesn't count towards square footage if it's not finished.

Assume the sqft is pretty much double.

The listing says unfinished basement. It’s a 2 bedroom ranch.

I know people who have changed jobs or been transferred shortly after they bought a house. If the new employer is paying selling costs and moving expenses, it’s a PITA to move twice in a year but not a financial burden. It’s not like they’re walking away from a 2 1/2% mortgage.

It's also a terrible location. Right on the corner of busy 4-lane Whiting St (Rt 53). Could be buyer's remorse due in part to the constant traffic and road noise. I know it would drive me insane.

The back of the house looks somewhat similar to a raised ranch.
