Is a Hawaiian driver's license enough? Or should I bring my passport?

Ah, one last question, flying tomorrow... flight leaves at 0933, how long before flight do I have to be at the airport for this type of inter-island flight?

It is Spring Break and the airports have been packed - you may want to consider being in the check in line by 7am. Worse case, if things go smooth - you have some extra spare time.

But families from all over the country are coming with their kids in all levels, first through twelfth. Spring Break weeks vary widely, and then we have Easter coming up.

Universities are the least of your problems. Chicago Public Schools don't go on spring break until next week.
