This took place in Veracruz. It is actual combat footage between the Mexican Marines and the Zetas. Four marines were injured. And this was recent and it took place in an important city.

My cousin woke up with a flat tire because there was a bullet inside. . . He lives in a "quiet" middle-class suburb of Monterrey. What gives, Mexico?

They are really failing now. It is so sad to see. Mexico used to be a good place to visit. And the worse part is that they are going to be blaming us.

I wonder how they moved Veracruz to the border? Because every ex-pat knows that violence only happens in the border areas.

Dude that already happened.

It really is a shame. Sonora still remains pretty safe with the exception of Nogales but when I drive through the traffic is so heavy that nothings gonna happen.

Don't forget about Acapulco and Monterrey. Mexico is a failed state. And I am serious when I say we should be worried about this. This has the possibility of spreading over to the states. And not just the border states. It really is sad. Mexico was never a safe place to visit but it was never to the point of this dangerous. The danger has only been increasing for the past NINE YEARS! Look at Afghanistan or Iraq. We have been in those two places for nearly the same amount of time that the Mexican government has declared war on the cartels. We are lucky to not have experienced the amount of violence they have. The worse part is that there really won't be an end to this war against the cartel. They are just going to be growing or being replaced with even more sophisticated cartels and even deadlier. The Mexican government has really failed.

It can be fixed. First, the U.S. stops buying drugs. Second, Mexico hires Blackwater, now XE, to come in and wipe out the cartels. Job done.

The U.S. won't ever stop using drugs. So that means that Mexico is screwed.
