Thought I would start a new thread just for and about the weather here in Michigan. We seem to post all sorts of weather stuff and with the wide range of temps, snowfall and such, just thought it might be nice to have it in one location.

I started one in the Alaska forum when I lived there and the thread is still going strong after 2 years.

I'll start with my home station, it's a live image and is updated every 15 minutes.
My data is also posted to wunderground, NOAA and a few others.

Just a question...

Will this thread just be another "bash the weather man/woman forecast" thread, or will this be a serious thread where we can discuss climate, historical events, observations, etc.?

Ok.

Interestingly enough some models do suggests somebody in the state may see accumulating snow early next week (synoptic, not lake effect).

Finally a great thread...thanks Nephler. Looks like a cold snap will be hitting by the end of next week, and good chances of snow for most of Michigan. I love this time of year!

Just getting down to normal temps next week. NO Arctic blast in sight thru at least the next 10 days The raging Pacific jet stream continues for the forseeable future. Only a hint of maybe a +PNA pattern setting up

I think this is a great idea. Also was wondering if there is a way to monitor certain personal weather stations at WUG.com? I have an account but don't see a way to bookmark or sticky certain stations. Thanks!

Yes there is a way. At the top where it gives you your main weather, there is a dropdown button that gives you a choice of other local stations.

Or, if you want other stations that are not local to you, you can pick them as favorites and they will be listed up at the top of the page. Those favorites show the current conditions, but are clickable and will take you to that station.

Hope that helps.
