Mikey_NC, I am nearly convinced you are my biggest CD supporter. It must be something in the North Carolina water.
Thanks to you, good and honourable man for participating and your supportive words!

WOW!!! Coming from you that is a great compliment and the very nicest one I have received in my going on 4 months in C-D. One of the reasons I support your threads and your efforts is due to the fact that they are sensible and have value beyond entertainment and fact sharing.
I have heard the rumor that NC well water has some "extra" supplements in it...!
USN 1988-1995, surface warfare and Navy Special Warfare. Over in first Persian Gulf conflict. One of the most challenging and exciting periods of my life. I agree with others that our military personnel and their families are an invaluable national resource - and it makes me angry when they are misused for ill advised political purposes, and when they do not get the proper care and support they deserve upon their return to the States.
I served in The U.S. Army Combat Engineers, got Airborne certified and attended a special ops school unofficially headed up by the CIA when I was in Korea just after the "conflict" ended and served in several theatres including the Lebanon Conflict between Korea and Viet Nam and some that shall remain nameless and unidentified.
Hey Mikey, I was a "12B" combat engineer too, mainly bridge building while serving in Germany. Went to jump school at Ft Benning too. Didn't attend any special ops stuff like you did, but went on plenty of cold war era patrols along the former East German border in the 1970s.
I was on a visit to Missouri last year, and took a detour off I44 to go visit good old Ft Leonard Wood and the Museum on that post that is loaded with exhibits about all of the Army's combat engineering units. If you haven't seen it, try to visit some time.
