Bad move by these three Soldiers but I would be careful about drawing a conclusion that it is happening frequently on other bases.
I've seen stories on MilTimes and S&S recently about guns going missing on bases around the country but these guys were buying guns legally and selling them, not stealing them from their armory, so I too don't know that it has any specific implication about people at other bases (other than "gang members who have more allegiance to their street gang than the military are currently serving," but that's a known thing and has been for a while).

OP likely jumped to the conclusion that they were selling military property versus understanding the article.
They weren't. They purchased from FFLs and illegally sold across state lines to likely prohibited persons.
These are just run of the mill every day below average intelligence criminals who happen to be in the military. Happens every day around big cities.
They're going from military accommodations to federal prison accommodations assuming found guilty. I suppose that is one way to live on the taxpayer's dime.

Yep. That is one of the things that comes with having recruiting stations nationwide. Could be city, farm, whatever. The average applicant is at risk to match the moral demographics of that area.
I received a message with a thumbs up so that I can't trace it back to the writer, but I have my suspicions, someone who doesn't want an infraction. It's ignorant and what I would expect, speaking of expectations.
I wonder if these illegal gun transfers were uncovered by the DOJ's & Homeland Security's diligence in rooting out domestic violent extremists(DVEs). Seeing how they are the number 1 threat to our nation's security.
