I arrived in Wildflecken in Feb 1980. Was assigned to CS Company, 1/68 Armor as the PLL clerk. I also had the additional duties off PLL Bn Supervisor, and as CS Company NEO NCO.
I was also the first Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, located in downtonw Wilflecken.
We live like right next door to Bad Bruckenau, in Volkers. I truly loved my time I spent living in West Germany. So when was Shaq there? I never knew this lil tid bit. I think you may have been there when we were?
I was there also. I was stationed at HHC 1/68 Armor Battalion as a cook there and loved my hole time there. Especially the monastery walked to the top and got lost coming back due to having one too many GOOD LITRES. I also went to Schweinfurt to visit my Oma there and all my relatives. Germany is a beautiful country and always will be compared to our screwed up country here in the so called Good Ole U.S.A. WOuld be nice if our Beaurocrats would do what they say and not as they will.
I left HHC 1/68th 3/24/1984, I was the Armorer - the Monastery was great. I had a huge Dodge King Cab truck with a camper. Needless to say, my truck was always full. Josh Barrak

Yeah, those wild boars! I could hear groups of them snorting in the woods while I was on guard duty. I remember a few times jumping up on a truck because they were moving too close to me.
