To me Milwaukee has a good amount of density downtown, although I admit it is lacking in height. Perhaps I should of said low-rise density.

I see your point though.

I think I posted my pictures in the wrong forum! I put them in the Wisconsin Images sticky and I bet they should be here.

I'll put the post here.

Thumbs up I'm not from Wisconsin, but

I recently visited Milwaukee and spent a good portion of one of the days doing something I love: Taking pictures of buildings. Not the entire building, just the interesting parts. Parts most people never take the time to see. I cannot tell you what buildings these are on as I am not a native of Milwaukee and I was exhausted for most of this walk so I was not tracking building names at all. A result of being sick for the last 5 weeks.

I took just shy of 400 pictures. If what you see below interests you I will post more.

Here is a sampling:

Isn't the work below amazing! I took a lot of pictures here. It was around a doorway into a building.

@Tek_Freek Those are some great shots.... The detail work that used to be done on buildings is just amazing.

I agree, obviously. I do this in every city I visit, time allowing.

This is the one that really got my attention the first night we went out to dinner. The wall holding it is from a non-existent building. Someone was thoughtful enough to leave the wall, and this magnificent sculpture in place. Edit: This is at street level.

Below I have two shots of one of my favorites. These are on a band about every 10-12 feet apart all across a building. I had a really tough time getting a good and focused shot. Here are the two best pulled into one pic. I have decided it's time for a better camera.
