Thanks, adam! I thought that looked like a BFS but I wasn't sure. And a La Quinta Inn makes sense - they're rebranding a couple of hotels in Elkview and Summersville as La Quintas so it was only a matter of time they built new hotels in the state.
The building under construction is a BFS, they have a La Quinta Inn planned there as well - perhaps work has begun by now given that it was in the DP about two months ago.
Both make perfect sense. Also, I don't think all the chain fast food restaurants have representation in that area yet. I know Mickey D's is over there by the first Sheetz, but it would not shock me to see Burger King, Hardees, Wendy's or KFC put something in around there. We have to keep in mind, though, that there will be a new exit a mile of so from there too with similar activity and probably different names involved that what goes in at Gateway.
I'm sure the BFS will have a few fast food options in it. They have many locations with Charlie's Steakery, Dairy Queen, Gloria Jeans, etc. I don't mind a few fast food shops going in as there really isn't any options other than McDonalds. I'd hate be disappointed to see more burger kings and taco bells though. I'd like to see another ChickFilA, dunkin doughnuts, or even better a firehouse subs, steak and shake, or something new to Morgantown.

I may have spoken too soon. I'm second guessing my memory of the Dominion Post article... I am positive of La Quinta Inn, but it is possible that the gas station will be a Valero. I don't know anymore. Darned memory.
Valero...interesting. The only other one in the state that I know of is in Jane Lew. Oh well, whatever it is it will be a gas station that I'll probably never fill up at.
