When I spotted this thread today, it reminded me of a hilarious record album my parents had when I was a kid. It was by the Gukenheimer Sour Kraut Band (sorry, that's not politically correct; no offense intended). The band recorded a hilarious rendition of the Hungarian Rhapsody. I looked it up just now on YouTube and found it! I hadn't heard it in decades; now I'm laughing myself silly over it again. Here it is:

On Aki kaurismäki film " Leningrad Cowboys met Mooses" this famous band gets international gigs
around the world....In Austria fans in br went really crazy, in France at Bingo they get lot of attentation from players and in Mexico wedding gig was really succesfull (Only one member of band had some problems to stay on genre)
I don't know that the second's a parody, more of a straight-up cover, but it was a surprise when I learned of it. Very odd. The third is an "astro" Christian band. Not sure I like them so much as find them unusual.
