What?! Another Beatles thread?! Well, only if enough of you think there should be one. The thing about the Beatles, another thing about the Beatles was how deep they were. No, not in a football team sense; contrary to the rumors of a McCartney doppelganger, and despite the contributions of Pete and Stu and the other George there were only three songwriters. But, what songwriters they were. One song after another while they were together and even after they split.

Use this thread to post links of the lesser known Beatle songs, the ones that only real Beatle fans know about, and to say anything you want to say about them. Solo stuff counts!

Like a lot of Beatle fans, I keep rediscovering them. I go through phases when I listen to one era or another. Lately I'm stuck on the early stuff...

An interesting live link...

I'm always up for these guys and hope I can do your thread some justice, Mr. H. I guess there's a world of Beatles' stuff we just don't hear much, have overlooked or forgotten due to more popular pieces. So with that in mind here's one we all know, but an early take on it that I hadn't heard until just a few minutes ago. It's quite raw and in its most elemental form. Still enjoyable, especially if you've ever tried to play all these chords on your own.

Default I like

the obscure tunes from Let It be. I also like Old Brown Shoe, I Should Have Known Better, Rain from the Hey Jude album(not really a studio album but a collection of singles)

Also like the synth tunes on Magical Mystery Tour(Flying, Blue jay Way)

They all look so cute here. Their mop-tops are all at the perfect level of shagginess.

I think you can really hear the "Mersey Beat" in some of their early stuff...

These meet the definition of obscure, IMO but others might disagree. Never hear them on the radio and only people with extensive Beatles knowledge seem to know them:

I really love the lyric "Once there was a way to get back home..."

Finally, while not a real Beatles song I am throwing this one in for a larf:

I think "Carnival of Light" may be the most obscure Beatles track out there. It's existence has been confirmed by The Beatles, but it has never been released yet.

You may be right, passionatearts! That piece (and this ain't the complete version) was quite a bit ahead of its time and a pretty interesting listen. Stay with it folks...
