According to NJT, Amtrak wire issues are to blame due to them getting too hot in this weather. I still feel NJT needs to still assume responsibility for all passengers they leave stranded. Not everyone can afford an Uber these long distances, especially into NYC. They really should provide substitute bus service whenever there are major rail issues like this. I feel bad for all you rail commuters.

This is concerning to say the least. I have no way to get home that doesn’t take forever and cost a fortune if the NEC isn’t running.

I suppose it varies by industry. My company (financial institution) has a ton of hybrid positions where they say you need to be in the office 3x per week, but I know people who only go to the office once or twice per month with no issues.
