220 Fires were caused by Ebike/Escooter charging in NYC alone in 2022, and numbers continue to rise. I think Landlords all over should consider adding this clause in the lease. I know my Landlord alrready bans portable heaters. See article.

I don't disagree with this, at least provide a space for outside parking.

They make fireproof battery bags for E-bikes that sell for $20

People should use them. It’s a definite problem, especially with the cheaper E-bikes

We should ban gas cars as well then. I see them on fire on the side of the road at least once a week.

Probably a hyrbrid car as they are prone more than any other vehicle to catch fire. EVs are extremely dangerous when they catch fire as they a create a thermal runway.

Most of these are the weirdest looking hybrid trucks I have ever seen then. Seen some older Broncos as well.

EV fires are much more serious, next to impossible to put out quickly even by firemen, and much more prone to catch fire when they're not even on. I never heard of a gas car catching fire while it's still and not running.

Pretty sure the people who have died in these fires dont care if the vehicle is running or not.
