Next time Giants/Jets want a stadium, it should be in Hoboken, Harrison, or Jersey City

After 40 years **** changes, my man. Your wife is your ex-wife the moment you divorce...claiming her 40 years later is desperation. The Jets were in NY for like 25 years or so, yet they've been in Jersey for 40. Eventually, reality should set in...
NY Jets and NY Giants let me know when they drop the NY OK?
Big difference as we're talking different states with NJ and NY.
But why does that matter? East Rutherford is clearly a suburb of NYC, as is half of North Jersey. Teams are 'based' on where the primary media market is, with the (rare) exceptions of the Devils & Islanders. Teams are not in NYC because of cost, full stop.
State lines are by nature arbitrary - the same reason that people from South Jersey root for the Flyers (and all Philly teams) over the Devils, despite the Flyers being based in PA not NJ.

New Jersey taxpayers are paying for these stadiums and teams to be here. There is significant value to the state, towns, businesses using the word New Jersey versus New York.
Taxpayers need to continue lawsuits against the New York Giants and New York Jets who we are giving them hundreds of millions of dollars, and they are considered non-profit and not paying taxes either.

You're probably right re: value to the state of NJ, but that value is dwarfed by the global value to the Giants and Jets organizations of having the words 'New York' in their name. If it came down to it, the owners would yank those teams to LI faster than you can spell lasagna.

Good, let them leave. They don't do much of anything positive anyway for the state except some part-time and infrequent minimum wage jobs. Nobody is going to go to LI to watch a football game. The only people who are going to be upset are middle-aged men who can no longer get their rocks off on watching a bunch of 23 year olds run up and down a field in tights.

Just because you don't like sports doesn't mean it has no value. You sound more and more like a lame person every day.

I'm okay with sports and played a college sport. I do have a problem with what things like the NFL have become. Some grown adults now have idolized these teams and some players. These adults take time away from their families, church, and lives to see what some team or player is going to do over the next 1 hour of their lives. They purchase clothing, gear, spend small fortunes, get drunk to idolize and worship their teams.
The Government then gives them a tax-exempt status, pays hundreds of millions of dollars to build them temples, so they can turn around make millions of dollars each and live out of state.
The players are in it for themselves, the teams are in for themselves, and both frankly do not care about the lives of their worshippers as they are a business. Its quite sad to see what it really is when you open up your eyes and see what it actually is.
I see you're a "NJ Devils" worshipper Why put another persons brand for which they make a living as your name? Where is your own individualism? You can live your entire life supporting the NJ Devils, the team and players don't care about you. They will take your money, but they wont be their to celebrate or care about milestones in your life at all. You could drop dead tomorrow, and they wouldn't know the difference.
