Hillside is Central, NJ but can be partially debated as part of its boundaries go over rt. 78.

NJ.com did a write-up on this 9 years ago with readers inputs. Elizabeth, Hillside are Central, NJ. New Providence, Berkley Height and Summit are North Jersey.

They are all North Jersey....

If one believed in a central Jersey, honestly, it would be New Brunswick to Trenton. South of Trenton is South Jersey.
I don't really believe in a central Jersey though, so....

I am with you on the first half. New Brunswick/Piscataway is the start of Central, on the west of part of the states it goes down to Trenton, on the shore part it goes down to Point Pleasant.

I consider all of Union to be Northern NJ.

Bergen, Passaic, Morris, Essex, Union, and Hudson are all Northern NJ.

Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Mercer are Central NJ.

Say whatever you want. I’m know where I live, and it’s NOT northern NJ.

Glad you do. So you think Newark is in North Jersey while Hillside and Elizabeth are in Central Jersey? Where's the airport or Port Newark? Don't agree with you.
