Wow... Pretty good song but when he stretches the word Albuquerque, it's a bit long... Maybe just saying ABQ would sound better, but what do I know.
Neil Percival Young, born November 12, 1945 is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician. He began performing in a group covering Shadows instrumentals in Canada in 1960, before moving to California in 1966, where he co-founded the band Buffalo Springfield along with Stephen Stills and Richie Furay, later joining Crosby, Stills & Nash as a fourth member in 1969. He forged a successful and acclaimed solo career, releasing his first album in 1968; his career has since spanned over 45 years and 35 studio albums, with a continual and uncompromising exploration of musical styles. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame website describes Young as "one of rock and roll’s greatest songwriters and performers". He has been inducted into the Hall of Fame twice: first as a solo artist in 1995, and second as a member of Buffalo Springfield in 1997.
Feleena (From El Paso) by Marty Robbins. In 1966, Robbins recorded "Feleena (From El Paso)", telling the life story of Feleena. Born in a desert shack in New Mexico during a thunderstorm, Feleena runs away from home at 17, living off her charms for a year in Santa Fe, before moving to the brighter lights of El Paso...

I'll just add that when Neil Young was moving to California in 1966 he traveled with a bunch of friends from Ontario in an old hearse. Marie. When they reached Albuquerque Neil fell ill, having a seizure, Neil stayed in ABQ about a week to rest up before continuing on to Los Angeles. The rest, as they say, is history, including the legendary story that after a few unsuccessful days looking for Stephen Stills, Neil, along with bassist Bruce Palmer, spotted Stephen in a LA traffic jam, forming the Buffalo Springfield the next day.
