I am a tenant living in NYCHA, - how can i get a transfer to another development - that is about 3 miles in distance from where I live now. I have bulling neighbors, and doctor notes stressing that one of my children and I should be transfered immediately due to medical health reasons associated with this apartment. I don't want to be transfer to another borough or kept in my same development.(to avoid confrontation with neighbor) The location that I would like to move to will be conducive for me and my children. dose anyone know NYCHA guidline on medical, or any other transfer I could appliy for.

p.s. or agencies that could help

Go to your management office and request a medical transfer. From there you'll be given a transfer request form to fill out and they'll take it from there. On the form, you can fill in the development you want.

Do I have to request a letter of transfer as NYCHA requested I do, or do I wait for them to tell me I have to move? Further more, when I move, do I have to leave the development or building that I am currently living in?

I am hearing impaired and my hearing is declining on the border line of becoming deaf! I am only 45 years old.
I was not born this way. I live in a high rise building. More than on one occasional happened with scaring me of individuals following me or lurking in t he buildings and stairwell. I was unaware due to my hearing is so bad! They snuck up on me and I felt unsafe!!!
I requested a transfer to a smaller building and was told my request was not good enough!
