Atowwn, the N&O has a more in depth article that says Carolina Performing Arts will contribute money, too, but I also saw something else about fundraising the other $1m.

I wouldn't get too excited over Northwood Ravin. They don't really do Highrise.

Winston-Salem:

Winston-Salem will experience a redevelpment of business 40 that runs through downtown. The creative corridors project has proposed a few ideas to upgrade current bridges along business 40.

Not sure how to post the actual pictures but I can post the links..

Winston Salem also will start redevelopment on a building by liberty street downtown. According to the banner, Winston will house the national cycling center. It is still a candidate for the US Olympics cycling training site.

Doesn't need to be highrise to get excited over! I love the area in Durham around Duke - Erwin, etc. A lot of low-midrises but their designs jive very well with each other and it looks quite nice.

Oh, I was just going by the "it would be rad to get a similarly sized building or larger" comment. Which I couldn't really envision Northwood doing.

Northwood Ravin, I don't really like their urban developments too much, but their suburban developments are awesome. Especially their villages. I don't think they've ever developed a highrise. Sometimes it seems their urban developments are pretty dull and not street friendly. There is nothing wrong with lowrises and there is no reason it can't be a great one, I just don't think they've ever developed a highrise. They've bought a couple condo towers but they haven't developed any.

I didn't realize we were supposed to list every project in each city.

I don't think there's any "supposed to" about this thread. My take-away is that it's exciting to see so much dynamic growth planned and underway in NC's larger cities.

I don't see why it's "hard to keep up" with the projects in the separate threads. There isn't much use in posting every project in every city in two different threads...it makes no sense.

I had thought this was just asking for the largest project or two, not a complete rundown.

Eh, didn't think there was any stipulation on posting xyz number of projects in xyz city, basically just thought it was a one stop shop versus going through multiple threads and searching out xyz developments.
