Moving from Texas to North Dakota here in a couple of weeks and trying to find a "Pods" type company. I know there are plenty out there but I am having trouble finding one that services both Fort Worth and Bismarck. I think the issue is mainly with Bismarck. Does anyone know right off, which companies are up there so I can start ruling out the ones that dont service Fort Worth,
A portable moving container that is set in front of your house or business so you can load it and then shipped to wherever you plan to move or need it so you can unload it. It can also just be used to store stuff. I'm from Texas also, lol.
We just moved to Grand Forks with UPack--they are sorta like Pods. They're run by ABF (a freight company), and they drop off a trailer at your house. You have a couple days to load it, then you lock it up and they drive it. You unload at the other end. They charge by how many linear feet you take up in the trailer (NOT by gas or weight), and there is a minimum charge (so, for just a couple boxes, maybe not, but for a house/apartment with furniture, then definitely worth it). Also a minimum distance, I think 500 miles (which you would easily fill from Texas).

Hello Wanderer7, you mentioned you use ABF upack for your move. Did they deliver the trailor to your house in grand forks or did you use the relocubes? My husband and I are moving to Florida from Grand Forks and I am looking for the most economical way to move. But I think I read where we would have to load their truck in Fargo.
They delivered the truck to our house in Grand Forks. It's possible that the truck goes to Fargo first--they go to a central location and then when you're there and ready for them to drop off your trailer, you give them a call and then they drive it to your house.
