Hiya needing info on the best private school, nice neighbourhood 2k - 3k we are moving with my husbands work from the UK. Hell be working at BP Whiting so needs a fairly shortish commute.

Im really keen to be able to walk as many places as I can although I understand thats not always possible.

2K, 3K? Not sure what you mean. As for walkable towns ... there is older housing in Valpo that is walking distance to shops, but for groceries and other necessities, you'll need to drive.

Private schools, there are several Catholic schools in the area. Not sure what grades you are looking for, but many churches have schools attached to them. For private high schools, there is Andrean, Bishop Noll, LaLumiere, Marquette. I'm sure there are more, that's just off the top of my head. If you like good public schools, Valpo, Crown Point and Munster are very good ... Lake Central schools are good too (see big debate a few threads back for that one!).

So true most of the schools are out of walkin distance but you can find the few that are close to your house.
