You don't seem to get it. The only choice is "have hundreds of people die because of COVID-19" or "have hundreds of people die because of COVID-19 AND THOUSANDS more from drug overdoses and suicides from people losing their sense of purpose". Do you think the opioid epidemic would've still happened if the 2008-09 recession didn't happen? If things don't reopen soon, the food supply will have so many interruptions that people will start rioting, and there will be more deaths from that. If you can't understand that there's a lot more than one variable about keeping things going, then you're totally clueless.

The number of people who will die from this isn't fixed. If hospitals become overwhelmed, not everyone who needs care will get it, and more people will die than if hospitals can treat everyone.

No - it wasn't "hundreds die." It was millions. Your choices were (are, in many ways):

Millions die, recession, life is never the same, many people lose jobs, economy needs years or decades to recover.
OR
Thousands die, recession, life is never the same, many people lose jobs, economy needs years or decades to recover.

Anyone that thinks "doing nothing" and ALSO having "just a few" die is intentionally being contrary.

Bottom line is - your retirement money, your job, our economy, and, frankly, our economic future - including riots, food supplies, and all that come with it - like you die from suicide - is already considered. With all of that mind - knowing that many of you won't have "work" to return to when this is "over" - the decision to STILL keep stuff closed was made anyway. It's THAT serious, people. Sorry. It is. Believe it. Accept it. It's happening.

The predicitons of millions came from statistical models that have been disproven from lies from the WHO. Only 1.7% of the COVID-19 deaths have been directly from COVID-19, so it has been just hundreds. If we wear masks and can stay socially distanced at the grocery store, we can wear masks and stay socially distanced at work. Stop your activist lies.

You don't get it. We aren't going to risk increasing the spread because some fools start crying "I can't stay at home because I need a purpose!" The food supply is fine. People having to make their own food instead of eating McD french fries all day is the best thing that ever happened to them. People rioting will be shot. They will send in the national guard if they have to. If people DON'T want it to come to that, then it's simple.

Stay the **** home

When you need food, go to the store at a time when there is the least amount of people. Keep your distance, wear latex gloves and a respirator.

Go to places for outdoor exercise that aren't flooded with other people.

No one cares if someone is bored, if they have to deal with whiny kids, if their favorite store isn't open or whatever excuse they are making to risk spreading the virus at a higher rate. None of that matters in the big picture.

You don't get it. We are only going to the grocery store because we HAVE to. Stop trying to promote the spread of the virus with this work with mask on nonsense lol. Over 20k have died in the US from Corona.

All you have to do is look at what’s happening in NYC, New Orleans, Florida, or Michigan to see what happens when you don’t take this threat seriously. Tens of thousands of people are dying, hospitals are overcrowded, healthcare workers are breaking down from the stress. The reason Ohio doesn’t look like those places is because of the strict actions our government has taken and continues to take. If you don’t think Ohio will turn into those places if you lift the restrictions you’re fooling yourself.

All these New Yorkers that were talking **** about Ohio and it’s farmers are singing a different tune now. If you are a farmer in ohio you are set. Live off your farm and anyone coming within 100 feet of the no trespassing sign is in for a very bad day.

And how many of those that you don't want to include in the count would still be alive today if they hadn't had the virus attacking their bodies along with their other conditions?

There are other solutions out there, but the "rugged individualists" in this state and country refuse to consider them cos "communism". Paying people to stay home, more than one-time bread crumbs that don't even pay a month's rent in most major cities, is a more than viable option, especially while the top corporations (most who pay little-to-no taxes) continually steal and sell our data with no compensation to us.
