Being in the DFW Area with a lot of homes being built day by day, people moving north of Dallas to Collin County at a rapid pace, crazy endless bidding wars, some of these of newer homes are about 2,000, 3,000 to almost 5,000 sq ft big homes. I was wondering in OKC if they have homes that are 3,000 to 4,000 sq ft, when I go on realtor I see 1,000 and 2,000 sq ft homes listed around 100 to 190k here in Dallas a 1,000 sq ft home would be more depending on which area it’s located in than the listed price somewhere in OKC

There are nearly 170 houses over 3,000 sq ft for sale on Zillow in OKC proper, and nearly 500 houses over 3,000 sq ft for sale in Oklahoma, Cleveland, and Canadian Counties combined.

But it's a little late too late to be in the market for a house in Oklahoma. Because I was quite thrilled to get an update from Zillow that showed my 3 bed 1,744 sq. ft. renthouse in Stillwater had gone up in value from $149,000 to $165,000, this even though there is nothing much going on in Stillwater. Little new business and industry has been moving in. So good lord, just who the heck knows how much the price of homes are soaring up like crazy silly in Edmond and Norman? Or Jenks and Owasso in Tulsa metro?

I have been looking for something larger, room size not number of rooms. Very little available, mostly semi custom pre sold unless you want a fixer upper. A small subdivision of 3500-4000 sqf will go into building phase in my area but at Dallas prices.

My daughter lives in Piedmont. A 1600 sq ft house in her neighborhood sold for $30K over the asking price. It was on the market for less then 24 hours. Worst roads in Oklahoma and folks still wanna live out there.

Ton of people are moving to the core of OKC, houses and apartments are being thrown up left and right as well as renovations.

I own a duplex in the paseo and it is valued at $170k and I paid $65k in 2000 before renovations.

I'm hanging onto the duplex because the paseo is one of the hottest neighborhoods in OKC.

We lived off 164th between Western and Penn from 2006-2010. You didn’t drive faster than 20 mph due to the potholes.

To their credit, it was nicely redone after we moved.

Default Big Houses in OKC

OKC has a ton of neighborhoods with big houses. There is Gallardia, Rose Creek, Hamilton, Briarcreek, and Northaven would be a few of my recommendations.

Now if you decide to rent instead of buy, I would recocomend www.centralokproperties.com

They are a local rental company that is highly reccomended.
