Since Omaha is a pretty solid blue city, I think that helps Suttle actually.

Jim Suttle. For sure! I think he's done a great job through some bad times. We are a better city since he's been mayor.

Just curious, but do you see being "progressive" as a negative trait?

Suttle's last campaign commercials should be the reason to not vote for him. Not too much has been accomplished from those. His "I did not know" line about the finances of the city make him look like a fool. Was he asleep as a councilman? On the finance committee?

Not directed at you personally, but people who say things like you must be overlooking the violent crime trend in North Omaha. He and former chief Hayes stood side by side and talked the talk about reducing shootings and other gun crimes.

If Suttle is re-elected, it's time to walk the walk.

North Omaha's had a violent crime problem for generations. Each successive administration has had to offer platitudes about stopping it. No one has. The problems in north O run much deeper that who is mayor or police chief.

the tax has already generated way, way, way more than needed to get Omaha out of the recession

maybe cutting the tax payers a break is something suttle or whoeve will be the next mayor in 2013 should do.
