Next time your in town check out the Santa Ana Civic Center that's a eye opening experience!! It's even worse then the river trail and same thing it's county land.
This is what's wrong with organizations like the ACLU. Social justice is crap. What these people really need is to be put into work camps, help to get off drugs, and mental health treatment. All of which the CA Democrat party has failed to provide for the past 50 years.

This article might be of interest for those who want to help OC's less fortunate:

OC Rescue Mission desperately needs you to donate food - The Orange County Register

"The Orange County Rescue Mission says it is facing a serious drop in food to distribute to local families in need and is seeking emergency donations.

A decline in donations of canned and boxed food items since the holidays has been so severe, the nonprofit is cutting in half the number of monthly food boxes it hopes to provide in the near future to homeless and other needy families, from 800 down to 400.

The privately funded organization is asking for the community's help in gathering 33,600 canned and boxed food items to provide six months' worth of food."

There's a list of needed items at the bottom of the page, with information regarding how to donate. If so inclined, you can either drop the food off at the mission, or place an online order.

Personally, I opted for the "online food donation" and purchased things from Walmart, since they have free delivery.

There is also a camp on the Santa Ana River at Talbert next to Costco in Fountain Valley. Pretty soon the entire river trail will be a homeless encampment. Cyclist don't even use the trail much anymore.

Instead of donating food, it would be better to donate suitcases & bus tickets to somewhere out of state. Preferably, Washington DC.

Those homeless should become illegal aliens, the state will take care of them then.

wow just drove by the river trail on the 57. They have gotten rid of the encampment by having them move to the other side of the trail lol. In their wake there is trash upon clothes upon bike parts upon trash.. a absolute disaster area. I bet the trash people are too scared of needles to pick it up. I was so stunned at the sight I almost rear ended a truck...

It's getting ridiculous.

How is this an acceptable "solution" to this problem? The ACLU is insane and full of complete idiots.

With the internet spreading information far and wide, these people can figure out where they can live. The majority of homeless want someone to take care of their needs so they can do what they want to do, usually some sort of drugs. They go where people are willing to feed them and provide them places to shelter. The west coast of the US is becoming known as a good place for them so they come here, simple as that.

CA Democrats are great at creating homeless camps.
