Criminal issue? Been there, done that.

All I can say is that I micromanaged my daughter until they finally broke up. Slept with phone and car keys under my pillow, bells on the doors so we would hear her try to sneak out. Would follow them sometimes. Talked to school admin and police. Ended up getting a restraining order.

The goal was to keep her alive and safe. We mended our relationship later, those times were tough and I've blocked most of it out of my memory.
