You may want to look into the Chestnut Hill area. It's absolutely beautiful & is close to "CHOP". It's quaint and just a beautiful place to live.Hope you find what you're looking for!

Thank you all so much for taking the time to read my post and offer your advice about our potential move to the Philly 'burbs. I sincerely appreciate your insight. I look forward to visiting this month and going face first into a cheese steak. I think our family has narrowed down our search to Malvern, Ambler area, and possibly Wayne, based on the community, school districts, a satellite doc office in for my son in Wayne, and the monthly commute to the airport. I love the idea of being in Bucks County (it's so beautiful there and have read wonderful things about the schools), but it may be a little far from the airport for my husband's monthly commute. I think we are leaning towards Malvern, so if anyone has any insight they would like to add about Great Valley School District, the community, etc., please feel free to holler! Thank you so much.

With a monthly commute to the airport, I suggest that you take a look at Wallingford-Swarthmore School District. Perhaps, in Rose Valley, Swarthmore, and Wallingford/Nether Providence. The train to Philadelphia with a direct stop a block from CHOP stops near all three. Swarthmore is a walkable, friendly town with a train station in the town center.

We are ten minutes from the airport.

(Most of the towns listed on the thread thus far, if commuting to airport during rush hour, can take more than hour by train or car.)

I also agree that you should not exclude the Philadelphia suburbs in South Jersey. These are about 30 minutes from airport. Some towns that you might like are Haddonfield, Pitman, and perhaps, Woodbury. Haddonfield has a train station to Philadelphia.

(The towns I've listed are all, more-or-less, ranked to the ones you've mentioned.)

Good luck.
