118 degrees this early in June is very unusual. That is more of a late June and early July thing.
We may get a couple of stretches of 115-118 degree heat this year, before all is said and done.

The forecasts for the week after this one are interesting, it sounds like we will cool right back down, either to "normal" temperatures or possibly below due to further low-pressure systems they expect to move through eventually. So that is something to look forward to after we all go through the big heat this week and weekend.
And, hey! We may just be getting an even earlier Monsoon as well!

The next four months will be spent trapped in the house with maybe an hour per day of reasonable temps and even that will be gone next month. Several days of 115 will burn and kill many landscape plants too. This place sucks!

I'm doing my best to be an optimist here and doing my best every year. Fact remains that I like my temps below 75 but gotta stay positive. I'm getting a little better each year.
Lets enjoy that hour a day while it's there. 4 am is bearable .

Why you gotta edit as I reply? Try and be positive. This place is pretty good at sucking 8 months out of the year. Don't you at least have a pool?
