One might even go as far as using their calling for 20% more as a contra-indicator marking a top.

"Global warming" is in fact what is going on. They had to change it to "climate change" because people thought that the entire planet would warm up x amount of degrees. Basically, they changed the term for "technically challenged" individuals.

IMO, "climate change" is impacting weather patterns. And yea, I can see how that impacts resale values. Still, "130 degrees" is an asinine prediction.

Zillow has economists on staff that made that prediction. That's a lot different than their semi-worthless "z value" which is off by more than $200K on my home. 12 months out gets a little fuzzy. But when we had 2.4% increase LAST MONTH, it's defiantly going up f-a-s-t! All metrics are pointing upwards. I wish I had your home portfolio about now. You placed a very nice bet! I'm too conservative which cost me a few million over my lifetime.

Zillow staff economists probably were pumping hot sauce into burritos at taco bell a month earlier. Zillow has no money for legit staff

Actually, here is their SR economist See https://www.zillow.com/research/about-us/jeff-tucker/ and https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeff-tucker-51089222/ He is pretty new at RE.

Outrageous. Most people aren't slovenly. They're hard-working and making decent salaries, sometimes working a 2nd job and still can't afford a small home in a bad neighborhood. How is this acceptable?

What does slovenly have to do with housing affordability? Some slovenly people have plenty of money. And who said anything about acceptability?

If houses are going to cost 20% more in 2022, how much water will cost in the coming years?

End game global warming (all polar ice melts) ends up pretty good for Phoenix. Turns tropical, the Sea of Cortez comes up to Arizona. That's the way it was thousands of years ago here. In the meantime, Phoenix temperatures can be greatly helped by curbing the heat island effect.

Staying on topic...
Zillow pushing an increase is like every realtor saying it is a 'great time to buy'. I would not buy a house right now. Even increasing the interest rate will stagnate buyers. That article will send people looking to buy into a frenzy. It is all FOMO.
