Anyone care to give Lessons Before we do the contest??
There are really no lessons, i often think of it this way, if i see a photo of something that makes me wanting to reach, touch or rub with my hand, that's a texture!
Me to Brill...excapt Bib challenged me to enter! Now I need to learn How.....sigh
Katie - I can't believe you've looked at all the links yet. I'm sure you'll find ideas, and more "how to's" on the net. Just google it if these links are not enough.

Actually Katie1, I just grabbed a couple of photos from a Sunday afternoon photo stroll I took a few weeks back.
One is a park bench and the other is the side of an old caboose.
Texture could be a full body shot of an old rusty car....basically you're trying to convey to the viewer what the image and/or the subject feels like to the touch.
I'd throw out some examples but i don't want to give anyone any restrictive ideas. This is something that kinda allows the sky to be the limit.
Thing of it is the Only time I want to Touch a pic of anything...ok dont laugh Tooo hard. Are pic of ANIMALS. Things like bark on a tree or rope dont do a thing for me..
I'd say you're OK to shoot anytime after right now. I'll draft the OP next week if that's cool with ya'll.
Forgive me, I am still new to this community. OP! Is that Operating Procedure? Is this going to tell us specifically how photos are going to be submitted for this contest?
If not, how do we submit entries?
