That’s a nice camera; you can get some nice shots with it, you just need to get close enough to your subject. The 105 mm maximum focal length means you would have to be close for the subject to appear very large in the shots. One easy way to do that is to set up a bird feeder near a window, that way you can get close without scaring the birds. Some of my best shots are of birds, they are my favorite subjects.
Right now I’m using a Nikon D80 with a 70 -300 mm lens for most of my wildlife shots and I still have to get pretty close to get decent shots.
