Warptman, I've never seen a blackberry like those. Our wild ones down here are more like raspberries in shape. Great thread.

I was on my bike ride and stopped in the tundra and picked those. I was on my way to find more and I crashed my bike, over the bars even. I'm ok but a little sore. That was cut short a tad.

OK guys, I like my berry pies and it's getting to late for a trip to the all night bakery. I'll see you in the morning. Can't take anymore as I'm craving a cobbler now.

Atlantagreg, those look like Ligustrum berries, probably L.japonica .

Service berries, taken last week in Glacier National Park, Montana.
We also saw raspberries , thimbleberries, snowberries and huckleberries.

I hope not!...The name comes from the color. They range from orange to red.
