A beautiful dandelion! I want one like that in my backyard.

Instead, I found this a couple of days ago...

Weed, but no idea what it is called. Flowers are less than a quarter inch across.

Thanks, HighlandLady. Just this week the roses in my backyard began blooming. The blue bells have been blooming for a couple of weeks now. But let me tell you: you won't believe the number of mosquitos in my backyard, and all the way down the Richardson to Glennallen. In three days the Mosquito Magnet collected a bag full.

I still had to have an electronic bug zapper (looks like a tennis racket) with me while taking those photos

OH I believe you, Ray...they are vicious here also compared to last summer. Bathing in DEET helps some I get bitten horribly whenever I am on hikes or working in the yard.
Does that tennis racket doo-dad actually work?!

It works to a point outdoors, but real good indoors for the few mosquitoes that follow you inside when you come in. I use it outside, just when I don't want to spray myself with bug spray near the camera and lenses. Bug spray is the best thing, however. I just spray myself with it while away from the camera, and avoid getting the chemical on the palm of my hands and fingers since bug spray could damage the camera's plastics. If if gets on the glass, then you have a problem.
