This was a rather surprising addition to Michigan Avenue. Based, of course, on the famous Grant Wood painting "American Gothic."

It does seem that American Gothic is misplaced in this setting. I wonder what their mindset was when they decided to have a gargantuan version right there!

That is a good question, Bibit. Can you imagine if they had put it in front of the new Trump Tower?

Great shot! I never knew that was there!

I am sure the Donald would love it in front of his NY Tower Building! LOL!
I think it would look kinda cool in Manhattan though, maybe somewhere on 5th Ave.!

No, Blondie, I meant the Trump Tower in Chicago. He built this enormous hotel/condo combo right next to the Chicago River. You'll see it in one of my upcoming photos -- as soon as I can figure out how to adjust the perspective in PSE.
